Bob, a lifelong geologist and naturalist whose life’s passion was understanding the nature of the geology around him in the universe, spent the greater part of the off-hours of his working life experimenting with, testing, and monitoring plant growth using the mineral we know today as Bob’s Secret. When Interstate-90 was under construction through the heart of Montana, Bob first noticed a mineral deposit that had resulted from an ash-fall from an ancient volcano. Bob acquired the depost and, understanding the importance of natural weathering of minerals such as his in the earth’s carbon cycle and the benefits that mineral weathering brought to plants, Bob began his life-long journey toward the gardening solution that we know today. What began as help for family and friends with poor garden soil and low yields with huge success developed over the years into the Bob’s Secret product. Bob’s Secret is our homage to a life’s work.
